Windsor police are looking for a man who attacked and bit a woman as she walked on the riverfront late Thursday night.
Investigators are calling the assault a random incident: The attacker and the adult female victim were strangers to each other.

Patrol officers responded around 11:50 p.m. to the area of Riverside Drive West and California Avenue, where they met the distraught victim.
The woman told police she had been walking alone along the riverfront near Patricia Road when she was approached from behind without warning.
The victim fell to the ground, and the male assailant bit her as she struggled. She screamed for help and the suspect fled on foot.
The attacker was last seen running fast up the slopes of the riverfront in the area, heading towards Patricia Road.
The victim’s injuries are considered minor.
The suspect is described as a black man, possibly in his late 20s. At the time of the crime, he wore a black hooded sweater, loose black pants, and a black baseball cap.
